The I.L.A. Laboratory Safety Shield is made from clear acrylic, and is light weight and portable. Lab personnel may make use of this protection wherever they wish to work. This Safety Shield is priced at an economic level which will allow laboratories to maintain enough units for each work station. The shields are durable, and may be cleaned with mild detergent and water.
The Laboratory Safety Shield is available in two sizes: LSS-8 is 8 inches wide, 18 inches high and 10 inches deep. LSS-12 is 12 inches wide, 18 inches high and 10 inches deep.

A smaller shield designed to take less work space, and can be easily carried by the technician, but still offers protection from splatter and aerosols. The shield measures 6" wide by 13" high. The base extends back 6".

The JD-20 SAFETY SHIELD is formed from clear acrylic and has a base measuring 14" deep by 17" wide allowing ample working space for tube racks and other items. The back supporting shield is 15" high, and supports the angled upper shield, which is 12" deep by 17" wide. The opening for the hands and arms is 8" high. If a higher opening is desired, as for a taller technician, the angled shield easily ellimises to over 12" high with light arm pressure, returning to the 8" height when pressure is released.
The unique design allows for easy manipulation under the shield, eliminating the awkward reach-around technique of the standard shields. Because of the freedom of arm movement, work can be easily moved *m either side of the shield, increasing work efficiency. In many cases the JD-20 SAFETY SHIELD will elominate the need to wear a face shield, as all potentially hazardous manipulations can be done under the shield.
If larger shielded work space is desired, two or more shields can be set side by side. The shields are light weight and can be moved to adapt to the changing work loads and conditions of the modern laboratory.

SAFETY SHIELD FOR BLOOD CULTURE BOTTLES
The BCS-2 is a 4" x 4" shield made form a bright glowing red acrylic. The shield is designed to assist and give protection from needle sticks during the transfer of blood from a syringe to the blood culture bottle. The hole size is 7/8" inside diameter and will fit over most brands of blood culture bottles. The BCS-2 is a must for every phlebotomy tray. Special sizes and configurations are available on request.
